Presentation 1

In the first presentation, the author – Konstantinos Kalantzis – gives an overview of the book “Tradition in the Frame”. The talk examines the book’s particular contribution to debates about tradition/authenticity, Orientalism, center-periphery relations, the debt crisis in Europe, photography as an ethnographic research method, photography and anthropology, social imagination and power.

Presentation 2

The second presentation is a conversation between Christopher Pinney and Konstantinos Kalantzis. Together, they explore some of the main themes of the ethnography.
